The challenge

A key challenge involved designing a white-label mobile application capable of offering a distinct visual identity for each financial institution.

To avoid brand overlap—especially among competing banks within the same region—the interface was built with a highly customizable design system, enabling each client to deliver a unique and differentiated user experience while leveraging a shared core platform.

What the company needed

The company aimed to develop and redesign a streamlined, user-friendly mobile application to enhance the customer experience.

The core objective was to provide users with quick, intuitive access to key features—such as viewing account balances and making payments—with minimal navigation and interaction.

UX & UI Design

Collaborated closely wit h stakeholders, app developers, and t he IT team to design and deliver t he MVP, establishing a solid foundation for continued development and enabling t he broader team to advance t he next phases of the application.

The customization

Utilized Figma to design a flexible, modular component system wit h multiple styling options, allowing seamless customization of t he inter face for each banking client’s brand—resulting in increased client satisfaction and a stronger market differentiation across deployments.

Design system

To support this goal, I developed a robust and scalable design system that enabled deep customization across multiple client applications while maintaining consistency, usability, and development efficiency.

The system was built around a shared core framework of reusable components, design tokens, interaction patterns, and accessibility standards, allowing teams to create unique branded experiences without rebuilding the product from scratch.

By establishing a flexible architecture, each client was able to adapt the interface to their own visual identity—including typography, color palettes, iconography, layouts, and brand-specific UI elements—while still leveraging a unified product foundation. This approach ensured visual consistency across platforms, simplified maintenance, and created a more seamless collaboration between design and engineering teams.



Outcome

The final product delivered a scalable white-label banking platform that balanced customization with consistency. Through a flexible design system and reusable components, financial institutions could rapidly adapt the experience to their own brand while maintaining usability, accessibility, and visual coherence.

This approach accelerated future implementations, simplified maintenance, and created a solid foundation for continued product growth.
